Established in 1972 as a fraternal organization and incorporated in 1979 as a non-profit charitable organization, The Vietnamese Association, Toronto (VAT) has the following mission statements:

To provide settlement and adaptation services, designed to assist new immigrants to integrate and participate successfully in Canadian society

To promote mutual understanding, tolerance and racial harmony among ethno-cultural communities.

To assure the preservation and promotion of Vietnamese heritage and culture, leading to the enrichment of multiculturalism in Canada

 OUR SERVICES

Settlement Services for Eligible Newcomers under IRCC Funding

The Vietnamese Association, Toronto provides a number of free settlement services for eligible newcomers under IRCC funding in eight languages: English, French, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tibetan and Hindi .

To avoid long waiting periods, The Vietnamese Association, Toronto would like to inform residents in need of immigrant services to please contact our offices for an appointment. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Board of Directors and Advisors – Vietnamese Association, Toronto (VAT)
Term 2025–2026

The Vietnamese Association, Toronto (VAT), is pleased to announce that for the 2025–2026 term, its Board of Directors and Board of Advisors consist of a distinguished group of individuals with expertise spanning science, the arts, technology, business, accounting, journalism, military service, social work, and law. Each member is deeply committed to contributing to the continued growth and advancement of our community.

The Board of Directors includes 14 members elected by the general membership at the 2024 and 2025 Annual General Meetings:

To strengthen operational capacity in response to the Association’s growing activities, the Board has appointed Mr. Henry Hung Thai as Assistant Executive Director to support Mr. Mark Manh Nguyen, the current Executive Director, in the effective coordination and delivery of community programs.
