Founded in 1972, the Vietnamese Association, Toronto (VAT) developed from a volunteer-based social organization to a not-for-profit multi-service agency committed to providing settlement and adaptation services to all immigrants and helping them integrate and participate successfully into the Canadian society. It provides a wide range of settlement and social services to immigrants.

Settlement Workers

Responsibilities:
- Provide settlement counselling services to clients
- Facilitate appropriate referrals and access to services in the community
- Promote settlement services through communities and outreach to newcomers
- Organize, plan and implement workshops, group orientations and information sessions on employment and settlement related issues to newcomers
- Record daily activities as well as prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical and progress reports to management
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Social Services or a related field
- Strong facilitation, training and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills
- Effective outreaching and networking skills
- Fluent in speaking and writing English and Vietnamese
- Understanding of the Vietnamese culture
